The ​​Australian Retailers Association are looking for an outcome-driven Strategic Partnerships professional. Your passion for sales and business growth drives you to seek out and bring on partners that align with the ARA’s values. 

You enjoy building relationships and developing mutually beneficial partnership opportunities that really matter to the ARA membership. You’ve got an innate ability to think outside the box to create exclusive and profitable opportunities.  

Your experience working in a similar role for a not-for-profit organisation would be valuable but not necessary. Your love for closing sales, especially B2B, will be the key factor here. 

You will be working in a small team and will not be afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the perfect outcome which could mean after-hours or weekend work.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Identify, secure and develop strategic and commercial partnerships aligned to the ARA’s values and goals.  

  • Create powerful and profitable partnership opportunities. 

  • Account manage key partners to ensure timely delivery of milestones and retention. 

  • Work with the Events Manager to ensure partnership obligations are achieved. 

  • Ensure achievement of KPI's, Revenue Growth & GP targets. 

Selection Criteria: 

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar role. 

  • High level written and oral communication skills. 

  • Well-developed organisational skills including the ability to managing deadlines and competing priorities. 

  • Attention to detail. 

  • Strong negotiation skills.  

  • Creativity to create beautiful partnership strategies. 

  • Ability to work under immense pressure. 

  • Flexibility and a hard work ethic.
