The Australian Retailers Association are looking for a seasoned member experience extraordinaire to join a peak industry association currently experiencing substantial growth and transformation. Make an impact on the ARA’s 7,800 retail members through the provision of engaging member experiences.

As a forward-thinking industry association, the ARA represents and supports retailers of all sizes through employment relations, policy, training and industry news. You share a similar “retailer mentality” from experience in the retail sector and can draw on this experience to deliver exceptional customer service to our members.

A data-driven and solutions-focused mindset means that you’ll be able to use modern technology to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Your outcomes-focused approach will be key to membership retention for the association. 

The ARA is currently experiencing substantial growth and as such this new role has been created. Your demonstrated experience shows excellent results from similar roles in high-pressure and low-resource environments because you are solution-focused.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and nurturing relationships with members.

  • Implement individual customer journeys ensure retention.

  • Deliver exceptional member experience through customer service.

  • Engage and close queries for new membership.

  • Ensure data integrity is prioritised.

  • Respond to membership enquiries in a timely manner, from both current members and prospective new members.

  • Administration.

Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a track record for success.

  • Operational skills including the use of a CRM to manage data.

  • Relationship management.

  • Flexibility in the workplace.

  • Ability to work under immense pressure.

  • Account management experience.

  • An understanding of the retail industry environment and emerging market trends. 

  • Experience in a not-for-profit association.
