The Australian Retailers Association are looking for a seasoned marketing professional to join a peak industry association currently experiencing substantial growth and transformation. You’ll be instrumental in setting the strategic direction of the business through the development of the Brand and its products.
You will be responsible for the design and development of the digital experience across the association. You will be tasked with the responsibility to provide tactile and strategic direction to maximise sales and customer experience for the association and its strategic partners. The ARA run a number of high profile events each year and as a marketing extraordinaire, you’ll know the best way to highlight these events and turn them into profitable products.
Working closely with and reporting directly to the Director Industry Affairs & Communications, you will help drive the ARA as the leading voice for the retail industry.
With a strong marketing background, you’ll be adept at driving brand awareness across Australia using best practice across areas such as customer lifecycle, PPC, content marketing, digital marketing, search engine marketing and email marketing. Your outcomes-focused approach will be key to the growth estimated for the association.
Working with a small but high performing team, you are not afraid to be operational to get the job done right which could mean weekend work from time-to-time. However, the ARA’s flexible working mentality means that you manage your own time so long as the work gets done.
The ARA is currently experiencing substantial growth and as such the Marketing Manager role has been created. Your demonstrated experience shows excellent results from similar roles in high-pressure and low-resource environments because you are outcome-focused.

Establish positioning, identify target audiences and develop marketing strategies.
Trend and competitor analysis.
End-to-end development and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns to drive traffic and centre sales.
Developing and nurturing partner relationships.
Maximise brand awareness and sales through strategic marketing initiatives.
Setting targets and tracking progress of annual budgets and KPIs.
Creating, coordinating and editing content for publications, newsletters, advertising, website and social media.
Demonstrated management of multi-channel social and digital media platforms
Excellent working knowledge of online database management systems and integrated EDM software.
Maintaining brand integrity across all marketing initiatives, events and communications.
Previous experience in a similar role with a track record for success.
Experience working in a small to medium size business, where you have had ownership of the strategy and execution / implementation is essential to the role
