Job description

We are seeking a Front-end software engineer to join our internal development team. You will contribute to the creation of our bespoke logistics and data platform regarded as the best in the industry!

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will use your expertise, knowledge, and skills to:

    • Collaborate with the team to work on multiple new and existing projects, across the full development lifecycle to include design, build, test, and deployment.

    • Participate in the migration of legacy AngularJS front-end to React.

    • Participate in team meetings, requirements gathering, sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and support project managers in client meetings.

    • Contribute ideas for new features and identify areas for improvement proactively.

    • Work with the team to support the product

Skills and Attributes:

The successful applicant will thrive in a dynamic, hands-on, and fast paced environment.

You will also possess:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or similar.

    • 2-3 years software development.

    • Strong JavaScript / TypeScript language skills.

    • Demonstrated experience developing web applications using modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue) and their build tooling.

    • Solid understanding of the web platform including modern browsers and web security best-practice.

    • SQL experience desired.

    • Demonstrated experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash.

    • Familiarity with Linux operating system.

    • Good working knowledge and experience with AWS.
