Job description

​Esther & Co. is entering a new growth phase and has ambitious 1, 2 and 3 year horizons. This has created a new opportunity for an Ecommerce & Marketing Executive with a proven track record of building engagement and digital activity across email, ecommerce and CRM.

The successful person works well in a fast-paced environment and is highly organised. They understand the technical side of key platforms and shopify and can implement or problem solve as required. Because we are a fashion brand, they must have an eye for fashion and style. They understand the importance of compelling, consistency creative and can work autonomously.

Core Responsibilities  

  • Shopify (Strong technical skills required)  

  • Digital Marketing Calendar planning & implementation  

  • Creative briefs (design)  

  • Copy writing  

  • Optimising email flows (Klaviyo)  

  • Email production (Klaviyo)  

  • Social Media – Pinterest, Facebook and YouTube  

  • Manage our notification and BTL communications.  

  • Be the subject matter expert for emails and notifications.  

  • Ecommerce – site updates and projects, including merchandising  

  • From time to time, support the Ecommerce & Marketing Lead on projects and admin tasks such as validation of returns for invoicing (return magic and commission factory)  

  • Asset creation (Adobe Indesign skills ideal)   

  • Video editing (Adobe After Effects skills ideal)

Key Functions and Duties


  • Update the site and support the Ecommerce & Marketing lead in implementing site optimisation or bug fixes, sales/promotions and CRO (includes liaising with our developer)  

  • Creation and merchandising of the site in line with the Esther & Co vision to ensure maximum sell through (includes home page and specific Edits only for marketing purposes. This includes tags required to filter through).  

  • Create categories/collections based on company requirements and sale promotional events e.g., workwear edit and work hand in hand with the product team for it to go live.  

  • Implement sales and promotions from time to time (as directed)

E-Commerce Performance Measures

  • Shopify (Strong technical skills required)  

  • Increase in site conversion rate (above 2%. Stretch goal of 3%)  

  • 360 feedback and rating  

  • Team engagement and feedback  

  • Email Database health - % Active   

  • Email Open Rate  

  • Email CTR %  

  • Email deliverability (above 99% to maintain our credibility/spam)  

  • Email Revenue   

  • Klaviyo expert (email builds)  

  • YouTube channel – set up and follower and engagement growth  

  • Pinterest channel – increase pins and revenue growth  

  • Award submission and calendar management  

  • Blog revenue (vs current $0)

Digital Asset Creation & Execution

  • Digital Activity – work a week in advance for outbound activity with the aim of a rolling next 30-day calendar.  

  • Copy writing – short form and long form. Includes social media, email and ad copy through to a weekly blog and award submissions from time to time.  

  • Optimising email flows (Klaviyo)  

  • Ecommerce – site updates and projects,   

  • Email production – Build emails in Klaviyo (campaign solus eDMs)  

  • Video editing – for weekly videos on social media and uploads to new YouTube channel  

  • Manage our notification and BTL communications – SMS bump, Yotpo and Tapcart.  

  • Reporting   

  • Continuous learning and optimisation of the channels  

  • Asset creation (Adobe Indesign skills ideal)   

  • Video editing (Adobe After Effects skills ideal)
