Responsible for providing advice to clients on customised joinery designs for kitchens & throughout the home, coordinating all elements of the project

Kitchen Culture has grown to a team of 30 plus and built an amazing culture working with a range of creatives from builders, developers, retail clients, suppliers, joiners and fellow designers. Located in Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Brisbane.

As the Design Specialist for the Brisbane Showroom, you are responsible for providing advice and customised interior design services to clients and coordinating all elements of allocated projects in line with the strategic direction of the business.  

Your core responsibilities are focused on initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a project team to achieve the client’s goals, manage design constraint challenges and meet the specified timeframe without compromise to Kitchen Culture’s standards of design, service and product.

The role of Design Specialist requires a highly motivated individual, with a passion for interior design along with customer service of the highest level. This role is responsible for providing service and advice to residential clients who want to personalise one of their biggest assets – their new home.  

To be considered for this position, you will possess:

  • Formal qualification in interior design (desirable but not essential)

  • Experience in kitchen and joinery design (desirable but not essential)

  • A high degree of administration skills

  • Professional work experience in a customer facing sales or service position

  • Ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines

  • Exceptional organisational skills

  • An eye for detail

  • A strong work ethic

  • Work well in a team environment

  • Have a good sense of humour

Your responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with clients to plan and customise their kitchen design

  • Advising clients on all relevant product lines

  • Liaising with manufacturers regarding client orders

  • Liaising with residential sales office regarding client referrals

  • Promptly attending to all ad hoc client enquiries

  • Driving the design process through to completion

  • Taking sole responsibility for ensuring clients design needs are met
